The first big controversy of 2010 errupted early on, as confirmations rolled in that the PS3 version of Bayonetta was of a remarkably lower quality thank the 360 version. Eager to avoid any similar mishaps, Platinum Games just recently announced that development of their upcoming shooter Vanquish will be lead by the PS3 SKU.
"The team know less about making games for PS3 than Xbox 360, so we thought the sensible thing to do was to make the game on PS3 first then move it over to Xbox," Vanquish director Shinji Mikami told PSM3(via CVG). "If we can get Vanquish to a certain standard on PS3, we can make Xbox the same."
And that certainly sounds like a good idea to me. Though we're still short on details for Mikami's upcoming shooter, his track record would indicate that Vanquish is something worth getting excited about.
