ロスト プラネット 2 (Lost Planet 2)[Xbox360,Ps3]

Split screen co-op confirmed for Lost Planet 2

Late last year, PS3 owners across the globe got some hands on time with Capcom's upcoming shooter, Lost Planet 2. The demo had players shooting through two short levels, topped off with a massive boss fight against a slamander-like Akrid. The the bullet point feature of the demo was the ability to play with four other players cooperatively, though it was limited to online only.

This won't be the case in the final build, as confirmed by the latest issue of Famitsu. At the request of fans, the game will feature local splitscreen co-op, in addition to the online modes. It'll be interesting to see how the game handles the local co-op, as the demo already has some framerate troubles even without it.

At any rate, we won't have long to find out - Lost Planet 2 is due to hit shelves on May 18 in North America and Europe.
