Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep makes an Impressive Debut in Japan
Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep has managed to shift 446,000 units (including bundles) during the 1/4 - 1/10 period in Japan. This is doubly impressive because this number only includes two days of sales, as the game was released in Japan on January 9, 2010.
The latest game in the series has shown a far stronger debut than its DS counterpart, Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 days. 358/2 days managed to shift approximately 291,000 units at launch, and 522,000 LTD.
There is however, no firm release date for Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep in North America and Europe at the moment.
In other news, Final Fantasy XIII took a nosedive in sales this week, selling 42,000 units, in comparison to 108,000 units last week. It is however likely that the game will reach 2 million lifetime sales in Japan eventually.
