The PlayStation 3 outsells every other console in Japan this week.

The PlayStation 3 had a record week in Japan, selling 316% more than the previous week (76,000 units). The highest selling week for the PS3 previously in Japan was when the slimmer PS3 launched, in which it managed to shift approximately 152,000 units.

As expected, Final Fantasy XIII took the top spot in Japan this week. Here is the top 10 list according Media Create for the week ending December 20th:

Final Fantasy XII sold 83.96% of it's shipment in the first week, Final Fantasy XII sold 1.76 million units in the first week, which was 78.38% of the total shipment (including bundles). 92,000 units of the Final Fantasy XIII bundle were sold this week.

Media Create are estimating total domestic sales for Final Fantasy XIII at 1.93-1.95 million units.
