6 years in the making, the first high def Final Fantasy finally has a release date. There is a closed doors Final Fantasy XIII event happening in Japan later today, where the release date was supposedly going to be announced. Seems like that news was spoiled early by some resourceful Final Fantasy fans.
Earlier today, Square Enix began teasing the announcement of the Final Fantasy XIII release date. However, if you simply replace the word 'before' in the URL to the word 'after', you get another flash site that lists the official release for December 17, 2009.
Final Fantasy XIII still does not have an official western release date, though it's expected to hit sometime in 2010.
