Tales of Vesperia demo hits Japan PSN next week

Earlier today, Namco Bandai announced through Dengeki Online that a demo of Tales of Vesperia will be hitting the Japanese PSN next week on July 13. This will mark the debut of Patty the pirate, a new character exclusive to the PS3 version of the game.

The demo comes a full 2 months prior to the release of the game in Japan, perhaps indicating the project is ahead of schedule and will be out sooner than expected. The full game is due for release on September 17 in Japan. No word on an American release of the demo, though savy PS3 owners can get their mitts on the demo by creating a Japanese PSN account.

Expect full 360/PS3 comparisons, fanboys getting their panties in a bunch, and an internet meltdown following the release of the demo.
